Styled Bridal Shoot | Franciscan Gardens - San Juan Capistrano, CA
This Spring I had the chance to collaborate with some talented friends and vendors on a little bit of bridal style inspiration for the launch of Novella Theory. I am so happy to finally share the stunning images shot by our own in-house photographer, Akili.
The gorgeous Alexis dress was begging for a photoshoot, so naturally we obliged! The striking lace paired with tiered bell sleeves give this non-traditional wedding dress some serious retro vibes mixed with clean modern lines. The 1970s top my list of favorite style decades, and so the summer bridal shoot with seventies and modern inspiration was born. I love styling with mixed aesthetics for a completely unique look.
There was only one way to go with the florals to match the bold bridal style and that was bright and boho. We paired the bridal look with striking summer hues and plenty of texture in the floral bouquet by Adrienne of The Bloom of Time. Adrienne has a natural ability to transform any concept into exceptional floral design and blows me away every time!
Tiera was able to complete the look with natural waves and our model, Melissa, kept the makeup look natural for an effortless 70s bridal vibe. When it comes to paper goods, I am huge fan of calligraphy and luxe stationery. Christine of Project Watermark created a simple yet beautiful invitation to complement the overall look - her calligraphy brings the romance and adds to the beauty of the bridal details.
We are so lucky to have a number of exceptional wedding venues in Southern California, and the Franciscan Gardens top the list for the historic charm and Spanish influence. This traditionally outdoor venue just got even better with the newly opened indoor reception space complete with exposed brick walls and chandeliers.
I am thankful for the friends and collaborators I was able to work with to create a little bit of bridal magic and celebrate the launch of Novella Theory!
